Is it good to remain neutral? To be a neutral man that sought not to make enemy. Not siding left nor right, no aliance nor rivalry.
So a new person goes into a work place, through after some time of conversations between colleagues, he noticed the 2 main existing influential conservative and liberation. Soon enough he'll realise both 'Group Bitchingsm' and 'Group Scandalism' in disguise of civilize coats, ties and briefcase are actually spies and assassins. As a new member of the department, both Groups are warm and friendly, trying to influence the new member into joining one of them.(And doesn't matter what talent or how treatening this new member could be of their rivalry, the most importantly, the QUANTITY that could make them look more powerful and superior)
And here much freshers would normally goes to the group he believed 'the side of bread with is buttered'. And then through spearing tongues and vernomous words, with brought up of history of the department, the fresher could only listen to the facts projected to him and unconsciously track an 'imaginary' impression of their rivalry in this mind. Magically, even during the times the fresher is still somewhere far away from knowing himself would work in this office, he knew of what happened to every single person in this office. And during the next meeting up with that someone being 'bitched', he/she is no longer whom the person the fresher sees on the past few days, admiration and respect contaminated with doubt and agile. Scary of the influence of how a person's prejudice towards another is passed on to him by the words of people whom he is in more favour of.
And then come another fresher that is to remain neutral, deciding not to be on anyside of the group. He thought, by not angering any side, nor favour any side, he'll remain peaceful, and away from 'assassination'. He's relationship with either groups are merely colleagues, a partner, a member in certain projects. They doesn't knew much about him, nor he knew much about them, besides business matter.
Well... wait till he's being plot down by the 2 main parties, hunting him down for the fear that any of their plans being discover by the big boss.
Sigh... seems like there's not much of a choice in the real world, either you are betting for a tail, or head on a coin. Or else, you have no place in that area. Maybe, it help if you could meet with a fairy and pray to her for you to become a forever pretty young woman with curvy body line and you are working among only men in the office. Else, you are a striking handsome charming bloke with only ladies working in that department. Then maybe you will never have to make a choice for a tail or head :D
